Thousands of SecureTrading customers are set to benefit from an additional payment option that could result in added sales, following the company's decision to link up with PayPal. SecureTrading, the UK's leading independent Internet payment service provider (PSP), has signed an agreement with PayPal  which means that users of its Payment Gateway will now be able accept PayPal transactions in addition to debit and credit card payments.

SecureTrading will integrate PayPal’s Express Checkout solution into their payment gateway, offering added choice and access to over 20 million PayPal accounts in the UK and more than 140 million worldwide. Furthermore, SecureTrading’s customers have the opportunity to generate added revenue growth, with research showing that websites offering PayPal as a payment alternative increase sales by an average of 14 per cent*.

In addition to providing one gateway for all debit card, credit and PayPal transactions, SecureTrading will also facilitate easy payment reconciliation through My-ST, an advanced transaction management tool. As a result, customers will be able to track all payments through a single reporting interface.

Jon Prideaux, Deputy CEO at SecureTrading commented: “This agreement with PayPal that will enable us to provide our customers with added payment flexibility and the ability to maximise sales. PayPal offers buyers an easy, quick and secure payment option, so represents a significant addition to our service offering.”
